A
VISIT TO 7th INTERNATIONAL INDIA TEXTILE MACHINERY EXHIBITION

at Goregoan East, Mumbai during 04-11, December 2004 |
| One
of our senior staff members and two of our Third Year B.Sc. Chemistry
students visited the Exhibition on 5th December 2004. The team
was led by Prof. S.V. Patel of Chemistry department and consisted
of students; Jitesh Darji and Rahul Patel. They had a first hand
interaction with the leading manufacturer of textile product of
the world. The exhibition provided platform for the upcoming students
of our college to get flavor of textile industries, like spinning,
weaving etc. After coming back from the exhibition the team shared
their experience with other students of Science faculty and staff
members of our college through an open house interaction held
on 9th December 2004 at our college. The Principal of our college
appreciated the effort made by the team to percolate the experience
of the visit with others. |

VISIT TO ROTRADE FAIR AT ANAND |

4th December 2004 |
| A
team of two staff member and twenty seven students visited the
Rotrade fair on 4th December 2004 held at ANAND. The team was
headed by Profs. S.V. Patel and Dr. S.H. Chaki and consisted of
27 students of T.Y. B. Sc.- Chemistry, Physics & Microbiology.
The visit was under the aegis of Placement cell of our college.
It was an attempt to expose the students to the latest trends
and requirements of today’s market. The Fair gave an golden
opportunity to the students to have a look into the latest trends
in some of the fields, viz. electronics, automobiles, jewellery,
etc. On 9th December 2004 the students who visited the fair shared
their experiences with the others through an open seminar held
at the college. The college management cherished the efforts of
the students who visited the fair. |

| ROCK
CLIMBING CAMP |
| It
is a great pleasure for our college that two of our staff members
attended one day Rock Climbing Camp at Pavagadh on 12th December
2004. Of the two staff members who attended the camp, one is Gujarat
Government recognized Rock Climbing Instructor Mr. Prashant Pandya
and another is Dr. K.B. Anjaria, Lecturer in Biology. The one
day camp was organized by Mr Sharan; (Commanding Officer &
Wing Commander) Air Force of Baroda. Mr. Pandya demonstrated rock
climbing and rappeling techniques to other participants and Dr.
Anjaria assisted him. Both the staff members enjoyed the thrill
and excitement of the rock climbing adventures and shared their
experience with others at our college. |
